General Packet Radio Service is defined as a packet-switched technology permitting high-speed wireless internet communications. GPRS offers over eight times increased speed over previous technologies, with over 110 kbit/s in theory. With "packet switching", users are always connected and on-line. GPRS is considered a 2.5G technology. Axis Tlelecom provides GPRS enabled phones, including Nokia and Samsung phones.
